Hello Class,
During Wednesday’s Class, some of you were interested in finding helpful YouTube channels for training materials. While I encourage you to explore and discover your favorite authors and channels as part of your learning journey, I understand the value of having some initial recommendations. However, I want to emphasize that these YouTube channels should not replace the resources you already have access to, such as TryHackMe and ITProTV. I highly encourage you to utilize those platforms first before turning to YouTube for additional free resources.
With that said, I’d like to share two YouTube channels that I believe can complement your existing learning materials:
- NetworkChuck: NetworkChuck is known for simplifying complex concepts and getting straight to the point. While his presentation style may be a bit energetic for some, he is an excellent teacher with valuable content. If you’re looking to learn a new concept, I recommend starting with his channel as a go-to resource on YouTube. Since we recently covered networking topics, I’ve included two of his videos below that are relevant to this week’s content: one on Wireshark and the other on PfSense.
- Craft Computing: Craft Computing is another great channel with informative content. While you’ll find technology-related videos, it’s worth mentioning that he often includes beer reviews at the end of his videos. If that’s not your cup of tea, feel free to skip to the relevant technical content.
As we progress through the course, I may continue to update this resource with other great channels that I come across. Remember, the world of online content is vast, and part of your learning experience is finding the voices and channels that resonate with you the most.
Keep up the great work, and don’t hesitate to explore beyond these recommendations!
